BIOGRAPHY

Sam Geer is an artist and inventor working in Glass and Metal. A founding member of both the Burnt Asphalt Family (www.theburntasphaltfamily.blogspot.com/) and the now defunct Cirque De Verre ( a performing glass circus) he believes in using art and science to surprise, amaze and thrill. Early on, he worked for Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center for 7 years, and was assistant to hundreds of top glass artists from around the world. There he learned everything about the tech of a glass studio, from kiln building to furnace building and maintenance. After leaving there he became a certified metal worker and worked for John Pomp Studios and BDDW as lead fabricator. In 2022, he left Philadelphia, bought a train station in rural NY, where he and his wife Genevieve have refurbished the building and made it into a thriving work space for glass, metal, and large projects.
